5 Reasons to Attend the 2022 Highland Park Fireworks

The 2022 Highland Park Fireworks are sure to be a spectacle! However, in 2017, there was an unfortunate shooting incident at the event, which left six people dead and two seriously injured. Luckily, the event will return in 2022, which will mean that the community will be celebrating another anniversary! Nevertheless, there are many other reasons to attend this event in 2022! The City of Lake Forest has canceled its annual Lake Forest Festival and Highland Park Fireworks. The city’s Parks and Recreation Department will provide further information as it becomes available. Due to safety concerns, the lakefront in Highland Park will be closed for the rest of the day. The fireworks show is a highlight of the lakeside community’s summer festival. Bitter Jester Music Festival

The 16th annual Bitter Jester Music Festival begins this weekend. The festival features six up-and-coming acts from across the Midwest. Morton Grove Days

Following the tragic shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, multiple Chicago suburbs have canceled their Fourth of July celebrations. Evanston, Deerfield, Glenview, and Morton Grove, Illinois, all canceled their July 4th fireworks displays. The same goes for Morton Grove Days, 2022. The city of Morton Grove was a part of the COVID festival for two years. However, this year’s Fourth of July celebration has been cancelled as well.

Elgin Fourth of July parade

Downtown Elgin offers free parking for the Fourth of July parade. You can park in any of the lots and decks downtown. However, the Gail Borden Public Library’s lot will be open to the public but restricted to parade participants. If you’re driving, you can use a free shuttle bus from 200 S. Grove Street. Glenview Fourth of July parade

The 51st Annual Glenview Fourth of July parade returns after a two-year hiatus. The parade begins at Lehigh and Glenview Roads and ends in Gallery Park at 5pm. Fireworks will begin at dusk and synchronize with music. There will be floats, live music, giveaways, and food trucks. At the end of the parade, the city will celebrate with a fireworks show 2022 Highland Park Fireworks.

Elgin’s Fourth of July fireworks

The Fourth of July in Elgin is a fantastic holiday celebration that you cannot miss. The city celebrates its Independence Day with parades and fireworks that are sure to thrill the crowd.
